Our dreams do not follow straight paths. They twist and turn, ever changing, ever becoming. Like a zigzag through time and space, they lead wherever the mind dares to wander. Then there’s a zing, a charge of energy. Ideas spark. Materials shift. Even the self is reshaped.A world is formed.
Zing Zaggo is the wandering mind expressed through creation. It doesn’t demand clarity. It embraces the fragments, those half-formed images, fleeting emotions, strange juxtapositions, pieces left behind. Sometimes they tell stories. Sometimes they remain incomplete. But they mean something to someone, to anyone.
Zing Zaggo celebrates the subconscious, the whimsical, the pop, the surreal, and the absurd. It can be dark or sweet or both at once, taking shape in metal, pigment, and light.
It trusts that meaning doesn’t have to be explained to be felt.
For in the strange, we find truth and wonder.
Tales of the making
Each piece begins with a spark, a fleeting thought, a half-formed dream. Sometimes the hand follows a thread of theme. Sometimes it wanders freely.
The worlds unfold on canvas or wood panel with acrylic or oil paints. Others take shape in the glow of the screen.
Prints, from both original and digital paintings, are available on high-quality paper, signed and offered framed or unframed, ready to carry a fragment of another world to this one.
The remnants and the talismans cross into three dimensions either by hand, sculpted in wax, or on the computer, then cast into sterling silver. Semi-precious stones and glass bring colour and life to these creations.
Each jewellery design is either a limited edition or a one-of-a-kind piece. Every piece is hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office, and bears the maker’s signature, a mark of authenticity and care. Limited edition pieces are numbered too.
Born in the heart of Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, each creation carries with it a story of craft, imagination, and place.
